Grate Paint is a High temperature, corrosion resistant, one coat decorative finish specially formulated for use on cast iron and steel. Most substrates including steel and its alloys can be coated successfully however, we recommend that each new substrate should be checked individually for its suitability. A thin coating allows heat transmission and is colour fast up to 500oC.
Directions for use:
- Ensure Surface to be treated is cool and any heat source is extinguished
- Remove all Rust, scale, dirt, grease and check surface is dry
- Apply by brush or spray
- Agitate paint well until well mixed ( shake can well before use)
- Recommended thickness 22 microns + 3 microns
- Practice - this means apply a thin coats, allow to fully dry before applying next coat
- Building up in layers this gives maximum high temperature resistance
- coverage approximately 7m2/ Litre @ 20 microns
- Touch dry in 2 - 3 Hours at Room temperature
- Adequate ventilation should be provided at all stages of the painting process

Pallet Delivery
All larger items above 30kgs, including stoves, are shipped via the United Pallet Network.
In-stock items are dispatched within 48 hours and delivery lead time is generally 4 working days. Off shore and Highland locations can take up to 7 working days and can incur an additional charge.
The delivery is arranged/booked between the customer and the local area United Pallet Network Courier, who will contact by phone the day prior to delivery. If a different date is required, please arrange this direct with the courier. Also, pass on site access information if required. Couriers provide a tail lift kerb side service and are not insured to take goods into your property.
Light Goods
All light goods including Spare Parts are delivered via the Royal Mail and couriers including EVRI and DPD. Tracking information is available on request.
NOTE that we advise that you do not book Installation Contractors and Tradesmen until you have received your goods. Delays within the network can occur unexpectedly.
Warranty Cover varies between Manufacturers and Products and is effective from date of purchase Invoice. It is recommended to consult your Product Manual for further details. Warranty and Product Registration can be done directly on manufacturer website.
NOTE that consumables parts [Glass, Fire Brick, Grates, Baffles Plate] are not covered under Warranty unless stated otherwise. Improper use, lack of cleaning and maintenance evidence, unauthorised modifications, and improper installation will also affect Warranty Cover.
To get the very best performance from our new Stove, Fireplace or Flue System, it is recommended to have the Installation carried out by a qualified professional HETAS installer.

HETAS Installers demonstrate that goods will be safely installed and complient with up to date Building Regulations and Manufacturers Guidelines anf adhering to Warranty Cover and Registration.
On-going Annual Maintenance can also be carried out by your Installer or a local Approved Chimney Sweep;
